• Make sure you select the correct input on
the remote.
• When you operate a programmed non-
Sony component, the remote may not
function properly depending on the model
and the maker of the component.
Error message
If there is a malfunction, the display shows
a code of two numbers and a message. You
can check the condition of the system by the
message. Refer to the following table to
solve the problem. If any problem persists,
consult your nearest Sony dealer.
PROTECTOR
Irregular current is being output from the
speakers, or the upper panel of the receiver
is covered with something. The receiver will
automatically turn off after a few seconds.
Check the speaker connection and turn on
the power again.
