TRANSIENT TEST SYSTEM
UCS N | CNI B.
In a connection to a public power supply network, load changes such as
starting an engine result in voltage drops. These are due to voltage drops
in the supply lines. Short circuits and switching operations in the power
supply network lead to brief voltage interruptions. The PFS N with the
-phase motor variac MV PDS simulates these voltage drops and
interruptions.
Unique here is the switch from -phase motor variac into star-delta opera-
tion, which is used to simulate the actual operational conditions. Within
s, the Power Fail Generator PFS N switches the supply voltage from
the power supply to the lower voltage.

PFS N | MV PDS PHASE
For the testing of electric vehicles and their components, the multifunc-
tional generators UCS N and UCS N are the universal genera-
tors for all transients and power fail tests. For a single phase DUT, the
integrated coupling/decoupling network can be used. The test rack with
the UCS N is expanded with the three-phase coupling network
CNI B..
The test system lends itself to testing -phase and -phase DUTs with
voltage supplies of up to x V AC (versions up to V are availa-
ble). A DC voltage input (which can be switched o using a special DC
switch) is integrated into the test system for DC DUTs or DUTs on HV+ or
HV- lines. DUTs can be tested with up to , V DC and a current of up
to A.
